Land Rover Defender Chiptuning - an absolute classic in automotive history. Over 2 million cars were produced from the beginning of 1948 to 2016. From September 1990 there was then the name Defender. The most important change was a new engine and a six-speed gearbox. From 2012 the Defender only had the 2.2-liter diesel engine as it complied with the Euro 5 emission standards. According to Land Rover, 75 percent of all cars produced are still in use, which once again speaks for the robustness of Land Rover. After 68 years of construction, production was discontinued due to EU guidelines that were no longer achievable.
